When working the back squat, be sure to have a spotter or preferably spotters.  We would prefer that everyone use two spotters, with spotters on each side of the barbell.  Above is a good demo video of the proper way to spot someone in the back squat solo style.  In the warmup portion of the workout today we are going to go over two methods of spotting the back squat so make sure to pay close attention to the spotting rules of the box.  We do not do enough back squats in our strength training because of our fear of bad spotting, or a communication breakdown between spotter and lifter.  Remember one thing, in the world of weight lifting, bad spotting is worse than no spotting.
