Meet your CrossFit Instructors
Kerry SmithCFL-1, CrossFit Coach’s Prep Course, USA Olympic Lifting Level I Sport Performance, NASM (CPT). I am an ordinary guy who has experienced extraordinary results during my devotion to Crossfit. I am a product of the body building era of the early 1980s. I used to think I was an intermediate expert who knew the ins and outs of physical fitness. But really, I only knew how to look like an athlete. As the years passed, my body started to look less like an athlete and more like a potato. I eventually went on a downward spiral and became lost in the concept of thinking fitness was for my youth. Therefore, Why not just get fat and happy? But eventually, I realized I was only fat and rarely happy.Fast-forward a few decades, and I am now in my 40s. I started training at CrossFit Lakeland in January of 2009. It was there that I rediscovered the athlete inside me. I began to not only look but also perform like an athlete. Week after week of CrossFit exercises, I began to notice the massive results CrossFit has provided for my body and mind. The more results I saw, the more motivation I had to continue my affair with CrossFit. It did not take me long to decide to pursue certifications to begin my career as a CrossFit professional.
Jon FultzCFL-1My background before I became a trainer is in military and firefighting. I was an Army Ranger in 1st Ranger Battalion and a firefighter for the Savannah Fire Department. I discovered Crossfit training when I was a Firefighter. It completely changed my view of what fitness is. Before Crossfit I was the typical globo gym guy. I worked out everything I could see in the mirror and ran 3-5 miles a few times a week. After doing a few Crossfit WODs I realized that I was not as strong or as well conditioned as I could be. Crossfit has allowed me to physically accomplish things I had previously thought were impossible. Learning how to effectively move my own bodyweight and external objects has led to me being in the best shape of my life. This change in my own view of a healthy lifestyle inspired me to get certified as a Crossfit coach and help others to change their lives as well.

Mark ChristianiCFL-1I Graduated from Iowas State University with a degree in kinesiology and health. I have a Level 1 CrossFit certification as well as an ACSM personal trainer certification, and an AFAA group exercise certification.I have worked with athletes during my time in college and have experience in a college strength and conditioning program. I currently work at a corporate fitness center with every type of person you could imagine ranging from deconditioned people to marathon runners. I have a passion for fitness and have made it my life, and I have found CrossFit is by far the best training program I have come across and I have made it a goal of mine to share it with anyone who will listen.
